The newest Sandals resort is Sandals St. Vincent. The three Sandals Resorts that have opened most recently are Sandals Saint Vincent, Sandals Dunn’s River and Sandals Royal Curacao. Below we will share a little more about each resort to help you choose which is best for you.
Sandals Grand Opening Deals
One of the best benefits of staying at a new Sandals Resort is the grand opening deals. There are also plenty of ongoing promotions and discounts you can use to lower your price.
Where is the newest Sandals resort located?
Sandals Resorts opened its newest resort in a new Caribbean destination, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, in March 2024. Sandals Saint Vincent was originally announced as a Beaches family-friendly resort, but it was eventually decided to instead open the resort as a Sandals adult-only resort.
About Sandals Saint Vincent
Sandals St. Vincent continues the new Sandals 2.0 approach, which really raises the bar on the whole experience with new dining and bar options plus luxurious new accommodations including the first-ever two-story overwater villas and beachfront suites with private pools. When we visited, we were blown away by the beautiful location, the friendly service, and the authentic feel of this lesser-known island.

It is set on 50 acres nestled between a mountain range with lush rainforest and a spectacular beachfront. St. Vincent is an unspoiled island with a welcoming culture, and the vibe here is laidback.
The resort is perfect for couples seeking both adventure and relaxation. Guests can explore the vibrant underwater world through snorkeling and diving, embark on guided kayaking tours to hidden coves, or hike through the island’s lush rainforests. For those looking to unwind, the resort offers multiple pools including an infinity pool overlooking the Caribbean, a luxurious spa (services cost extra), and private beach areas where couples can relax and soak in the sun.
There are 12 restaurants, including the excellent Buccan which features local cuisine, and 9 bars. This resort also has the new Blum Coffee Bar that debuted at Sandals Dunn’s River, which is a step above the usual coffee cafes at Sandals resorts.
After our visit in May 2024, it is now our favorite Sandals Resort.
Sandals Dunn’s River
Sandals Dunn’s River opened in May of 2023 in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
This is a stunning resort with amazing suites including the ultra-luxurious SkyPool Suites, which Sandals brought to Jamaica for the first time here (and are now at other Jamaica resorts like Sandals Negril). There are 48 of these incredible retreats, which are elevated and feature private plunge pools with an infinity edge that overlooks the Caribbean.
Other types of suites available among the 260 rooms are the new concept Coyaba Sky Villa Swim-up Rondoval Suites, which have rooftop terraces and direct access to the swim-up pool. These beautiful round villas (also at Sandals Grenada) also feature vaulted ceilings and a private, walled-in outdoor space with a patio and plunge pool.

Twelve restaurants at Sandals Dunn’s River include the new Zuka for South American Fusion as well as some great new Asian options, and the nine bars include our favorite, Dunn’s Rum Club, which offers light bites in addition to craft cocktails and a lively atmosphere. The new Blum Coffee serves incredible drinks made with Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee.
Sandals Dunn’s River also features 7 pools, including 2 river pools, plus the full-service Red Lane® Spa, which is one of the nicest ones at any Sandals resort. Complimentary watersports including motorized options as well as the usual snorkeling, scuba diving, paddleboarding, kayaking, and Hobie Cat sailing. We loved the pools, food, bars, and service here, and this is also a great location for doing excursions to the popular Dunn’s River Falls and Blue Hole.
A second resort, Sandals Royal Dunn’s River, is planned for next door, allowing guests at either resort to enjoy the amenities, facilities, and activities of both with ease.
Sandals Royal Curacao
The third newest Sandals, Sandals Royal Curacao opened in the summer of 2022.
Sandals Royal Curacao offers 350 rooms and suites in 24 different categories (the most of any Sandals property) including the first-ever Awa Seaside Butler Bungalows with private pools and the first Kurason Island Poolside Butler Bungalows, which overlook a heart-shaped pool.

A unique feature at Sandals Royal Curacao is the Dos Awa two-level clear infinity pool, with fantastic views of both the sea and the mountains. This resort offers the usual range of complimentary water sports and land-based activities, as well as hiking and biking in the surrounding preserve.
Couples wanting to plan a destination wedding at Sandals Royal Curacao can choose from three different oceanfront wedding venues. There is also a full-service Red Lane Spa with six outdoor spa cabanas and treatment rooms, two marinas, and 70 different dive sites. Guests at Sandals Royal Curacao can golf at the neighboring Pete Dye-designed 18-hole golf course.
Curacao is a foodies’ paradise, and Sandals Royal Curacao delivers delicious cuisine befitting its location here. The resort has 9 restaurants, most of which are exclusive to Sandals Royal Curacao, such as a wine and Dutch cheese bar. There are also 3 food trucks offering local food, Spanish tapas, and Asian fusion.
Sandals Royal Bahamian: A Completely Reimagined Sandals Resort in the Bahamas
The most recently renovated Sandals, Sandals Royal Bahamian reopened in 2022 after a $55 million renovation. The glamorous all-inclusive resort, located on breathtaking Cable Beach, now features new Beachfront Swim-Up Butler and Club Level Suites just steps from the ocean plus all-new Crystal Lagoon Swim-up Suites with butler service, giving plenty of luxurious options for a honeymoon hideaway or couples’ escape.

In addition to a beautiful beach and two amazing swimming pools, there is a wide array of water sports, land activities, and excursions available. Looking for something unique? Sail off on the Love Runner and experience a romantic adventure at the private offshore island, which offers a private beach, pool and pool bar with ocean swings, infinity-edge jacuzzi, seafood restaurant, and more. The resort also offers the full-service Red Lane Spa (services not included in stay).
For food, enjoy 10 unique concepts including the all-new Coconut Grove (a beachfront lounge shaded by coconut palms), gourmet French restaurant, sushi bar, and an open-air seafood restaurant perched over the water. Guests can also dine at two new food trucks with traditional Bahamian fare at Coco Queen and sweet treats and coffee at Sweets ‘N’ Tings.
Sandals Royal Bahamian is located in Nassau, Bahamas, close to many attractions there and 15 minutes from the airport.
Upcoming Beaches and Sandals Resorts in Jamaica
Sandals Resorts have plans for expansion, with a new Sandals resort planned for next to Sandals Dunn’s River in Ocho Rios plus new Beaches resorts under construction in Jamaica and the Bahamas. They are also continuing to renovate and upgrade existing Sandals properties.
The next new resort in Jamaica will be Beaches Runaway Bay Resort, located between Ocho Rios and Montego Bay. This is an existing property, and it will undergo a $250 million renovation before welcoming groups and families to its spacious 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom suites. Guests here will have access to the championship 18-hole golf course at Runaway Bay Golf Club. This will be the second Beaches location in Jamaica when it opens, since Beaches Ocho Rios had closed. Current Beaches locations are Beaches Negril and Beaches Turks & Caicos.
The company is also renovating Sandals Emerald Bay in the Bahamas, turning it into Beaches Exuma.
